That website never opens well for me, don't know why.

We all know three clubs are definitely in the race for Mitchell Pearce – Manly, Newcastle and Cronulla.

And the Storm and Brisbane Broncos are also showing him some love.

Now you can throw in a sixth shock suitor – the Canberra Raiders.

Former spit roaster Matty Johns has revealed the Green Machine are willing to shelve a key playmaker to make room for Pearce. “Just add one more (club) to it.

There’s discussions around Canberra,” Johns told his Triple M audience.

“Canberra has waged some late interest in Mitchell Pearce.

“They could create cap space by allowing Aidan Sezer to return to his junior club, Canterbury.

“So maybe there’s some interest there from the Raiders.”

The Sea Eagles remain favourites to grab Pearce, showing their hand by releasing Blake Green to the Warriors.

But others in the chase are not sitting on their hands, with Pearce’s manager Steve Gillis currently sifting through a raft of offers.

Let us all speculate what the offers will be for funzies

If looking at a 3 year deal my guess
Sharks: 3 years $2.4-2.6 mil
Manly: 3 years $2.3-2.5 mil
Newcastle: 3 years $3-3.5 mil

If not us I hope he ends up at Newcastle. I don't share the hatred of them like others in here, actually I've always had a soft spot for them.

He'd be mad not to go to newy.

Top money
Won't be a scapegoat
Gets out of the Sydney media bubble
When we were kids, my parents told me our old dog went to live on a farm near Newcastle. Must be heaps of dogs up there

Pearce isn’t the first person that Newy have thrown millions at.

Everyone had knocked it back, why would Pearce be any different?

Won't be a scapegoat? Have you seen what the Newy fans think of Hodgoson?
And Pearce is a better player than him, expectations will be very high for him to drag them out of the bottom 4

From the other forum

“Hold the phone people.

I’ve just been told there are problems with Manly and their cap. If he agrees on a back end deal then it’s a done deal otherwise we could be in with a shot.”

Green was gonna get released anyway. He had a big 3 year deal on offer and no guarantees from Manly beyond next year.
Cant hold that back from a player.

Pearce reportedly told Politis that he wants to play half back and run the team. He aint gonna do that at Manly.
I reckon we are a big chance unless its all about money. If it is he'll go to the Knights.

I reckon manly is the worst option he has tbh - newys probably his best and we are in the middle

The only concern about linking with the Sea Eagles is the fact he will have to play behind star half Cherry-Evans, which goes against his desire to be the main playmaker.

This is where Cronulla have a legitimate chance of securing Pearce’s signature. The Sharks will allow him to play in his preferred halfback position alongside Chad Townsend, while their star-studded team gives him a realistic chance of winning the title.

Cronulla possess a potent blend of youth and experience with veterans Paul Gallen and Luke Lewis teaming up with rising stars Valentine Holmes and Matt Moylan.

Pearce also has close relationships with a number of Sharks players from his time in NSW Origin camp.
