We lost barba and Ennis and didn’t replace them (enough to cover Pearce and Moylan alone ~1.3mil) plus we offloaded bird, Beale, Heino, latimore and now Maloney this year - we have only signed Dugan and Gray with all of that money. Makes sense to be able to afford moylan and pearce

also nissan cedric and semenufguy

What's the point of arguing about dollars and cents when no one has the exact amounts of what players are actually on.

Quite clearly we do have room under the cap, by the mere fact that we're talking to Pearce.

The storm saga of ‘09 has caused unnecessary unrest everytime a club signs a big name player these days

If we only had room for 1 more expensive signing we'd probably still be talking to more than 1 expensive prospect.

There was other speculation, not so long ago, that we were one of the clubs that were having to do some hedge trimming because we'd overspent, along with the Raiders and Bulldogs I think?

So who knows.

So much rubbish is written for click bait these days.

I think that speculation was rife when it was thought the cap was only going to go to around 8.5 mil.

Yep and that's all most of it would be - pure speculation.

A complete waste of time ... but I'm obviously enjoying the speculation or I wouldn't be posting on here so much haha.

I really don't want to move Val back to the wing because I'm worried we'll lose him. But really, that would give us an amazing amount of attack. Do it.

I agree that's our best possible backline. That said, how does Dugan go at setting up his outside man? Val might end being wasted out there.

if he can score them himself I don't care , that finish on the weekend against france was class

If we are going to rejuvinate/refresh this squad let's not go half ass about it
I mean **** I'm not convinced poly ET can't do a reasonable job on the wing and he won't have far to walk when dugan goes off for a jaw inspection, give dugan left centre though so he can work with Wade and we can move Feki on - Gray, Ramien to do the business on the other side

Molyan in the halves replacing jimmy and leave Holmes at FB where he won't be 'wasted'

If we got Pearce then put the Chad out to pasture

To be clear unless he significantly improves on this year I think Val's a much better winger than fullback. I'd move him back to wing and Moylan to fullback before dropping Chad altogether.

I'd personally rather we didn't look at Pearce at all. As for Val at FB, don't really see that either. He did better on the wing. I know he hasn't had long at FB to develop, just seemed to be lacking is all.

If you move Val to the wing, who would you put at FB?
