What are the reasons people believe that Williams will be picked as the first winger when was wasn't even the first winger picked in the trials?

I am not sure why so many of you do not have Matt wright in there team. Flanagan has said in a couple times that gardener, best and Matt wright will be the first 3 outside backs picked.

*an 8 year old.

Basic 8 year old grammar.

**** you. Can you please check the grammar on that. When you play the grammar/spell check card you reek of desperation. Now tell me again why I'm a dumb ****wit for having the audacity to suggest a first grade football coach should finalise their intended team by the deadline? Keep poking me with a stick if you want.

Mainly because he offers more than any other winger. He has the workrate of Wright with more class. I'd be more than happy for the wingers to be Williams and Wright with Mills and Best in the centres. Hell, even Poms and Mills in the centres. Best is really getting on a bit.

I think we need to look to the future in our backs. I think feki an wright are our future centres, dont get me wrong mills will also be in the team in the future prob wing but i picked best and williams while the other 2 get experiance and mills will be better for the run in nsw cup. Robson more utility value than morris. Green played well in trials and he is the opposite type of player to fafitta and taga we cant run with both at the same time as our front row we need to partner green with them for his no nonsence work ethic. N e way in an ideal world. . . Just my opinion.

You see, Mills is a better player than Feki. Have you actually seen Feki play? Not saying Feki has no skills but on last years form you would have to say Mills is a better prospect. If we had of actually signed Hurrell then different story. It's Fifita by the way.

I'm not at all disagreeing with you, i think he is a classy player who is suited to wing positional play, something i don't believe Wright is.

However i can't see where all these people believe that Williams will magically find himself as the starting first picked winger when signs just don't point that way... however maybe others are more in the know than I.

Although i think you are being pretty critical of Best... whilst i agree he is aging, i believe at present he is our strongest centre, knows how to setup his winger and has better all round skills & reads than say Pommeroy, who just has brute strength on his side.

It really does highlight how badly we need a quality centre.

Everyone take note. Sharkshocked as actually entered into a debate by actually replying with a credible footballing reply. Thankyou Sharkshocked. Now, to cut to the chase. Mills has displayed all the attributes of a first grade centre. He is big and strong and tackles well when the oppostition runs at him. He is not a finished product by a long way but he is a centre more than a winger IMO and was introduced into first grade via a wing spot. If he continues to develop he will be a starting centre.

Williams was very, very consistant last year and was far more dangerous than just about any of our other wingers. I'd suggest that the speed difference between Williams and Wright isn't that great but Williams is a smarter footballer.

Best showed glimpses last year but that disaster against the Bronco's (Hodges) in particular suggest's he is on the way out. If there are any scientists out there if you can come up with a way to implant Bests footwork at the line into Mills then we would have created an elite centre. If we could turn back time and get best four years ago, happy days.

Yes, we are desperate for a quality centre in their prime.

he is the best winger at the club by long way, can find the try line is a top defensive winger and likes to do the tough stuff. Basically everything stapo does but alot better.

For the 3rd time, the thread is YOUR round 1 team not what team do we think flanno will pick for round 1.

I like this but I'd take Robson over Morris, not because he is a better hooker but because he is better utility value
