G'day guys, just had an idea today whilst reading the sad news of Stewart Mills' knee injury suffered in last nights trial against Manly.

It occurred to me that many of you, especially from outdide the Shire, probably have little knowledge of the Junior Clubs that make up the Cronulla Sutherland District Rugby League, or of some of the great players they have produced.

So, the idea is for anyone on here who is involved with a junior Club, why not post a little intro to the club, their history and some of the players they have produced.

I'll get the ball rolling with The Yarrawarrah Tigers, who both my sons have played for. You can check out their homepage here.

The Yarrawarrah Tigers Rugby League Football Club is a junior and senior amateur rugby league football club that is based in the Sydney suburb of Yarrawarrah and competes in the Cronulla-Sutherland District Rugby Football League. The Club was founded in 1978 and their home goround is Yarrawarrah Reserve, Wheatley Rd, Yarrawarrah.

One of the most successful sides that have played for Yarrawarrah came together in 1999 - A new under 6's team who were underfeated for 4 years and won having an average of 40-0 per game. They won 3 grand finals and 3 minor premierships, also came 2nd in The Endeavour Cup. They were finally beaten by an Engadine Dragons side to break their 4 year undefeated streak.

For the 6th time in the last 9 years and 7th time overall the Bob Gorrick trophy for the champion junior club goes to Yarrawarrah Tigers in 2009!! Cronulla Caringbah are the only club to have won it more times with 9 - but they had 10 years head start and had won 4 by the Time the Tigers were born.

There are currently four players from the Yarrawarrah Tigers who are first grade players with NRL Clubs. They are: Reece Williams and Stewart Mills (Sharks), Joel Reddy (Parramatta Eels) and Keith Galloway (Wests Tigers).

In the Toyota National Youth Competition, there are another three players from the Tigers. They are: Chad Townsend, Haydn Peacock and Adam Goode. All playing for the mighty Sharks!

Anyone else with further information about the Yarrawarrah Tigers, please feel free to add it to this thread!:cheers
