We need to make some sort of yearly series for tonga v Samoa. This is so good

Or even better, have one game every year where the politicians have to play against them.

Polys versus Pollies.

Lets see how keen Abbott is to do some shirt-fronting then.

Was crap against the might of Ireland. Caught at dummy half 2 or 3 times. Looked clueless most of the time.

I watched the game specifically hoping he was going to kill it, but once again the team looked worse with him on.

one of the only balls seggy threw to a chest was the one that went forward... to an Irish player

tbf he is having a decent tournament but against non NRL level defense albeit. He is just so eratic and doesn't have much of a radar, I'm not convinced a pre-season with Flanno is necessarily gunna get him to where we need him for the Sharks anymore but he can do good things in attack and defense but need to settle him into our structures and get some rhythm and cohesion. He needs to work and train his ass off and improve his own game as well.

**** that was an entertaining game though despite the errors with another brilliant crowd at PNG and a stubborn showing from the Irish but that Tonga/Somoa crowd yesterday was something else, never stopped cheering or waiving their flags. They must look at our embarrassing crowds and apathy for internationals and think we are all off sheering sheep or pissed under the bar. You can tell it's a big deal with these smaller nations without many of the resources and luxuries we take for granted in this country. Good on em, they have added alot to the atmosphere and validity of this world cup

They do a great job at making us looking uninterested at international level. The double head a few years ago at Suncorp Aus V NZ and Samoa V ENG was crazy. They did the Mexican wave and every time it got to the Kiwis and Samoans they would go bezerk, and then when it got to Aus it would die in the ass, but next time around the Samoans would go crazy again.

I wouldn't bother playing any test matches on Australian soil.

I know its been ditched now, but did the ANZAC test/rep round actually do anything for international footy?

Would of been better to have Aussies against Samoa on Friday Night in Samoa.

Then NZ vs Tonga on Sat Night in Tonga.

Agree, if they're fair dinkum about promoting international footy in places where there's a legitimate chance it will flourish, this is what they'd do.

NZ v Tonga should be a ripper tomorrow afternoon.

Tonga paying $3.40 for the win. I reckon that could be worth a little nibble.
