There's been a lot of advertising about the Aussies competing, we much of a chance in any of the events?

Anyone think Pittman will do well?

Can't say I know much about our competitors apart from Pittman, and that's only because of her track background. I'll be watching though, love the winter olympics. Good to watch sports we don't normally get to see in this country.

Also, Roy & H.G. will be doing a show similar to what they did for the Sydney olympics each night.

That's the first I'd heard of it.

The ice hockey is the highlight of the winter games IMO.

Yeah I agree, even though it's existence goes against me preferring that sports aren't in the Olympics at all

have they had any snow yet.

I was reading they have 1000's of buried tonnes of snow for use just in case.

we are a good chance of winning maybe 5 or 6 medals (1 or 2 of those gold). we have 2 no1s in their field at the present moment, and a few that are a great chance of causing an upset. our snow boarders will go great (torah broght and some 17yr old who is killing it), our canadian import (dake begg-smith) will be up there, plus sopme others i cant think of right now

pittman and her partner will be lucky to make the top ten. they are ranked about 13 or 14 ATM and going backwards.

up on the mountain it isnt too bad, but not the best. where sochi is (about 2 hrs away from most of the outdoor events) they have had bugger all and the machines and saved snow will be working overtime.
