my favorite current sharks player is Gallen cause he is a great player and is so passionate about the sharks and hates to lose.

I can't fault Dougie... honest, tough, reliable, disciplined and a worker - both at training and on the field.

The sort of guy that you'd love to have in your team and the sort of guy you'd love to be in a team with.

Prob Luke Covell. He is a nice guy, works really hard, gives 100% every game and is great in the air and in defence. An asset to our team and a leader. Really glad he will be with us next year.

Gallen has been for years, and still is, but I'd have to say 'at the moment' in a true sense it's definitely Scott Porter. Barrett a very close second.

Watching these two guys run out on the field fills me with hope and optimism. I can't say that about Gallen right now.

It's funny and sad if you think about it.

The people that fill me with optimism at the moment are Porter, Barrett, Dougie, Snowden, Tupou, Stapleton, Ferguson...

Most of those players weren't in our squad last year. It just makes it crazier that these players seem to be the ones proud to pull the jersey on and make us look good.

The last 12 months have been crazy. As bad as it was I have to admit the above people really are making up for it.

I have to say Gallen is my favourite, purely for the fact that he seems so passionate and he gives 100% every week. He's always prepared to bust a gut for the team. He's someone you want in the trenches next to you.
Covell, Dougie and Baz are up there too.

You cant go past Gallen but if you take him out of this. Toops and Matty Wright for me. Toops would be up there for best buy of the decade for us. Matty has a bright future the guy is only 18, he will be big.
