This may seem somewhat of a quitter topic, but who here would stop watching NRL (Fox and Channel 9) if the Sharks were allowed to die?

Perhaps the Administrators could send the results of the poll on to the NRL?

Personally I have been depressed all day, particularly after the comments from Zappia about being close to giving up! And LG announcing they are abandoning us (thanks farking Sydney media) and I can honestly say I would stop watching league full stop if there was no Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks competing in NRL.

Its hard to say until it happens. I love watching league and its my favourite sport to watch but just like I find it hard to watch the rest of the games on a weekend after a sharks loss and dont care so much about a finals series after sharks are out I would have to think the nrl would lose me as a fan at least for a few years.

im a sharks fan, not a nrl fan, i have allready been going to the rugby this year, the sharks cant win, the nrl wants them out, look at the 50/50 calls on the feild that we never get. look at the cowboys game in adelade, they got away with knock ons forward passes, no trys that were awarded,we had every call against us. i will still follow sharks around sydney to all their games at the old ground like newtown etc. life just aint fair some times, and the nrl isnt fair, so bye bye nrl. and watch ya backs other sydney clubs.

I'd still watch the league but I doubt I'd bother having Foxtel anymore. I only got it because I wanted to be able to watch every Sharks game.

So yeah I'd probably still watch one of the Friday night games and possibly the Sunday game if I liked the teams, as well as state of origin and the finals.

I would almost cry seeing Gallen play for another team.

It may take me years and years of counseling to get over and then maybe, Just maybe I would let NRL back in my life.

Rugby League would be of no interest to me if the Sharks leave the Shire. There can be no compromise - Cronulla Sutherland Sharks or nothing.

Would the NRL really be so heartless as to leave an entire area of Sydney with no team to support? I guess the answer to that one is simple - they tried to kill off Souths so obviously they would.

I believe that if the Sharks go we will be the first of many anyway.

The NRL in itself is not a sustainable competition. The costs for the clubs are too high and the income is too low.

I dont think there would be many other competitions in the world that would have clubs incurring such high costs for travel etc, with such a small population base.

It is doomed. If you keep losing teams, you lose supporters as well.

I give it about 10 years.

They need separate NSW and QLD comps. At the end of the year, the two winners should play off. Simple. Solves a lot of problems.

OMG Channel 7 are at it again, insinuating we should be dropped from next year’s NRL competition after LG dropped us.

I mean, why we should support the sport when they do nothing to help themselves. Why doesn’t the media who have league (Hello CH9) dig up some dirt on AFL and the pathetic ABC sports like netball. Fight back you whimps!

if nrl let sharks die

the nrl would be dead as far as i am concerned, i would also cancel my austar subscription. i would still watch state of origin as the blues are my team as well, but the rest of nrl would cease to exisit as far as i am concerned

i already feel hollow inside at the thought that there be no sharks! imagine my mates: "not only do you not have a premiership, you don't even have a team!" without the sharks there is no nrl!

No Sharks, no league, no compromise.

Born in the Shire and supported them from over 500km, now over 250km. If the black, white and blue aren't in it, neither am I.

And that's a promise.

No Sharks no sempa

Thats all she wrote

I will be the first member of my family in three generations to not be sitting in Sutherland hospital waiting to die saying "do you think this is our year".

Holy crap they worried more about the sharks than their own mortality.

If the sharks are gone I am going to get a life.

**** Gallop.

Hell no. I love Rugby League. I couldn't muster the passion have for the Sharks for any other current team, but I'd still watch every game, every weekend, Sate of Origin, finals series, Test Matches.

Ya gotta love ya League!
