a game that really pissed me of was the knights game, brown was getting the ball a fair bit during the first half and was looking dangerous then we get a set down there before half time and robbo runs the set, 5 hit ups and a rubbish kick, didnt even look like extending the 18-6 score line

I don't get why when we get down there how we look so ordinary, why the hell would we do 5 hit ups then a kick so close to the line. It's such a let down when you're at the game, you feel the pressure building then you get served up the most boring uncreative set possible

I just laugh now, not much else you can do but it's just frustrating when you have a guy like brown who likes to run the ball and is quick on his feet just be ignored out there so they can go to robbo to either put his predictable step on or throw one of those beautiful inside balls that never ****ing pay off

Do our coaches not watch how other teams attack close to the line? They have plenty of movement with runners and decoys going every where. Suppose it doesn't help the fact that every time our fullback gets the ball he puts his head down and steps inside
Well summed up mate. They also now run a decoy between first and second receiver that ray charles can see isn't going to get the ball, it's obvious the decoy isn't ever going to fool the defence.

It's so frustrating in that the commentators and fans and your average punter can see that brown (who is growing in confidence and looking for the ball on the reg) is being shafted for Father Christmas.

Ikin was loving brown and knew that he was threatening the eels. Jumping out of dummy half, agile and quick steps off both feet and almost breaking the line several times and ran a great hole off fifita like a good half should, and then you got Robson running into a huge gap with players on his right, on his ass and a winger, all with huge chances to score, and he ****s up a pass that most under 12s could throw and ruins a try on debut for a bloke that bleeds talent.

who should we sign for 2015? A decent ****ing halfback, a coach who knows how to successfully run a second phase play with good effect and a **** who can teach these lazy ****s how to push up in defence.

Nu should at the very least be doing more short kicking. From what I saw in lower grades he's good close to the line.

Top priority is a halfback. Robson is doing his best, but he just doesn't have the ability. Unfortunately, there is NOTHING GOOD off contract at the moment. Our only hope is England, or snaring Reynolds or Issac John on an early release. If not, then it's Robbo again next season and go all out for Ben Hunt for 2016.

I would be willing to give Timmy a go just to mix things up a bit, we are probably going to get humiliated one way or the other regardless, may as well be from him doing something rare & ridiculous
The guy could throw an incredible pass when he wanted to, plus he grubbered....

Could not stop a honey coated geriatric in defense though, plus had a nasty case of the Poms

Agreed.

Funny thing was I was listening to the ABC commentary and the commentator (don't know his name) said that it was a great pass and Holmes had erred in his positional play. Said he hadn't kept up with the play close enough and if he had he would have been there for the pass and scored. "He'll learn from that next time the young fella."

FMD, how do these guys get these commentary gigs. Some of them are ****ing hopeless!

Commentator was right IMO. Same thing with Gordon's pass. Neither were great passes but most NRL wingers would have taken them.

Not a criticism, he hasn't played on the wing this season. Its just a timing thing.

Maybe he didn't expect Robbo to run so far... :p

Ya got it in one....... Why do we continue with the same old rubbish so so easy to defend We have all said it again its not Rocket science when the young backs get some good quality ball and more often . Then we look like we can score and sooo goodt to see.

There was a time when we had a Forward pack that could dominate using the old bash and barg Tactics But we don't have it now, our pack is now regularly being out muscled.

Lets play to our strengths GIVE THEM A GO not much to lose doesn't look like we will make the TOP FOUR**???!!!!!***** Get em ready for next year give us [/B]something to look forward to

Does anyone know anything about Israel Eliab. He captains the PNG Hunters right now. He is 23y.o play's 5/8 and just got PNG player of the year. Had a look at a few highlight videos and he looks pretty good. Would he be worth a look at?

Here is one of the better highlight video's
