There is a guy that plays in qld cup for png hunters called Garry lo. Haven't seen much of him but I know he loves to find the try line. Solid winger. Watched a game today. Scored 4 tries. Maybe worth a look?
I've been saying that all year he is good so is there 9 & 6.

With robbo retiring, we basically need a new 6 and 7 by 2016. If brown is all good get him at 7.

Austin is a good player, i was surprised given the direction penrith were heading, that they didnt re-sign austin. I guess thats the nature though. We lose peach, they lose austin, someone else loses someone else.

1. holmes 6. Austin 7. Brown 9. Ennis
1. Holmes 6. Clarke 7. Brown 9. Ennis 14. Austin

I do feel sorry for the abuse u r about to cop regarding ryan morgan

Hampton is more a 7 than a 6. A halfback all the way through the junior ranks. The first time I saw him play was as an 18 year old against our U20s. Our guys played an almost perfect game and won comfortably but he looked a class above as a prospect. He was a little general with his talk, an excellent kicking game and great speed.

The organizational skills haven't translated into first grade yet but he's only about a dozen games in. Hopefully that will come. They might if he's given his own team so to speak - rather than playing second.fiddle to Cronk. Its done wonders for Ben Hunt.

Brown doesn't look like a seven to me. Super talent - great left foot step/jink, good palm, great pass, left foot kick, big, tough, quick, super attitude. But doesn't seem like a guy who wants the ball in his hands four or five times a set or someone who will drive the team around. So yeah, he's very left-sided and more a 6 than a 7 IMO... and probably better suited to hooker or even centre than either.

They could be an excellent combination though. Well done Sharks.

Anyone know if we've looked at Henare Wells? The elder brother of Dallas who is in our U20s?

He went tryless last weekend but scored 13 tries over the previous four games for Burleigh at fullback. He's super quick and quite tall.

He was really rated as a junior but never made a huge impact for the Roosters - had some injury trouble I think and perhaps couldn't keep on the kind of size needed for first grade. But I suspect he's just a late bloomer.

Not sure he handle defending in centres but would make a handy winger.

Put the word in mate ;)
I hear he will end up at Canberra or Doggies both watching him closely. Not much I can do about recruitment, ive always liked wells as a player but has a massive ego.

Agree with this he will go to hooker eventually but can cover the 6 with a dominate half back - Hampton can be this

Lightest it's been in years - our bench this weekend is our forward depth and its not that good.

Depending on who we re-sign but our depth is fine this year, injuries have just been insanely cruel.

A. Fifita
Lewis
Graham
Heighington
Tupou
Arona
Sopoaga
Gibbs

All of the above are capable first graders. All below can do a good job as a fill in.

Prior
Tagataese
Roqica
Vave
Robinson
Mexico

The problem is we have had too many of our star forwards out leaving role players to try and do it all.
