He took a team full of nuffies to a grand final, and is getting a ****load more out of penrith with next to no star players while flanagan cant even get some of the games best going.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but Matty Johns just said of FoxSports that Williams (Wolfman) has announced his retirement at the end of the year.

Wow. Surprising, I thought he still had years up his sleeve, with potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars to be made.

There would have been a lot on here who would have whinged should we have been able to talk Besty into 1 more year, at the end of last season!
Few could argue now that he isn't needed, as either a Leutele or Pom replacement!

I'd have a Leutele/Best centre combo over anything we have put forward this year.

Penrith have won 2 and the Sharks have won 2. Where is the ****load more?

Just nab maurice blair early. an easy recruit, cheap and a massive upgrade in the centres. Can play 5/8 and is pretty skillfull.

This allows us to chase the bigger names but already have an upgrade wrapped up who we can fall back on if all else fails.

1 winger, 1 centre and a halfback next season is all that we need.

1- gordon
2- ??? (probably briscoe)
3- leutele
4-??? (blair/mills/j.wright or preferably an upgrade)
5- ryan

That is atleast a skilled backline who can catch and pass. Briscoe is a tryscorer, gordon is close to a top class fullback, leutele is atleast an average nrl centre with potential, blair is also an average nrl centre and ryan is one of the more solid wingers in the comp.

If we get a good halfback I really think that backline would be enough to put us right up there. Our forward pack plus Carney and a good halfback all you need is a backline like your suggested one.
