Who Should Partner Graham In The Halves?

After we announced the signing of Wade Graham yesterday, i was wondering who should partner him in the halves next year.

Im leaning towards Tim Smith at 7 and Graham at 6 after a off season under Flanno, i think they could make a great combination.

Other options are Porter, Kelly, and Morris. Or do we chase someone else?

If we dont sign someone else then I think Tim Smith is the best option, provided he has a solid off season and works on his game. Particularily his running game, defensive technique and some consistency in his kicking game.

Porter doesn't offer enough in attack for me, Morris lacks the creativity and kicking game to be a regular half and Kelly needs more work, that if he's even with us next year!

Porter or Smith. The rest of this year and the off season should be used to determine which one, then we should stick with them and build a game plan around it.

We know Porter can kick very well and Smith has a bit more x-factor, so we need to build game plans accordingly.

I don't care who they pick as long as they pick the right one, and then stick with that choice and work around that choice.

The way I see it we can grind with Porter or try and play more expansive under Smith.

I'm pretty sure Graham will be the 1st choice number 6. Hopefully he shows enough early on to keep that spot, otherwise we're royally stuffed and could be looking at 6. Porter 7. Smith combo.

But I think Smith should partner Graham in the halves if we don't sign a 7 of note.

The fact that we are talking to Noddy means Flano doesn't believe Smith or Porter can groom Graham so why persist with these guys

Graham at 6 and Kelly at 7. But Graham playing more like Campo/Soward and Kelly playing like McCrone/Hornby

I think Kelly at 7 & Graham at 6 if we do not sign another halfback. I have a gut feeling we will sign the Ox don't ask me why but it is just a feeling I have. Having said that I don't mind Ox at 7 and Graham at 6 combo either.

Smith is good but will need to work on his defence and kicking game. I would be happy to see Graham at 7 and Ports at 6. Smith could come off the bench and play at hooker. If he is defending in the middle of the park at least he will have some support to make tackles. On the edge he is not as good.

I'll throw one out there..... How about Gardner at 7 and Graham at 6. I remember a little number 1 not long ago that was a star at 7 for us !!!!!!! Gardner has a great passing game and the way he reads a game is natural.

But I like what Gards offers us at the back... so I don't know

I like Gard's at the back with more space to move ! One thing is for sure we need quality halves that can link with the backs a bit better giving them the room to move also. I would like to see Dean Collis with a bit more time to weave some of the magic he is capable of.
