This was brought up during the telecast. Where was the stretcher/medicab when Nu Brown went down?

Do we even own one?

Looked like a serious injury and he was obviously in pain. Our trainers looked like they had no idea what to do.

It was f***ing embarrassing. This coming from a Club that has been publicly humiliated for not fulfilling its duty of care three years ago.

If I was Brown I would be regretting not taking Melbourne's offer when I had the chance.

Its ****ing amateur hour at this Club... 24/7. When are they going to install a competent Football Department?

Not good enough. really needs to be looked at.

I saw better injury stabilisation in Bangladesh 25 years ago when a hockey player broke his leg and they used occy straps and his own hockey stick to use as a splint.

I don't know where it could have been, unless it was already being used?

Surely there is a checklist of things that get taken out on to the field at the beginning of the day and get put back at the end. Surely there is someone who is responsible for the stretcher when it needs to be brought out.

Amateur junior football clubs have this stuff on hand on the sideline.

and therein lies the issue mate. Amateur football clubs appear better organised than our club. I mean really they are doing everything they possibly can to make this club look like absolute shyte. The way they carried Nu off was again nothing short of disgraceful.

lol... Perhap we need to dress the Merms up in nuaghty-nurse outfits and be the Stretcher Girls.

That'd be good for a prevy photo-op too... and and and maybe we could have a comical clown doctor come out and throw a bucket of confetti over the injured player. Wouldn't the young kiddies just love that!

How would they move someone with a broken neck? A fireman's carry. Not very professional.

:lmao

We could have 10 clown doctors hanging off a tiny medi-cab driving erratically towards the injured player.

Ben Ross walked off the field with a broken neck at shark park. Just living up to the standard of **** we've brought ourself down too I guess.

We need a complete and utter clean out from top to bottom. Keep the young guys and re-build. 3-4 year process.

Yep, it was a disgrace to see, I really felt for Nu. I'm glad that these "trainers" that were "helping" Nu with the "stabilisation" of his leg weren't around me when I did my knee as a teen. Obviously we can assume that Nu was thinking "**** this hurts" as he was being half-assedly walked off, but I wonder what the bunch of rookies sitting on the bench watching him get carried past were thinking. We expect these blokes to put in, giving their all and putting their bodies on the line against more experienced opposition, yet we can't even bother to bring a stretcher out when they ****ing go down injured.

Absolutely piss-weak.

Jesus Christ you guys are carrying on like a player has never been carried off the field before, it happens, all teams do it. It's not the first time it's happened and it won't be the last

And what about the possibility that Nu might of asked the trainers not to get the stretcher?

Sometimes players insist on trying to walk off the field.
