To What Benefit?
Bring a good CEO. Also get a proven coach as well....
The rest on the debt.
This is the sort of mentality we have to be careful to avoid. Too often in the past when we have had some money to spend (and even when we didn't!) we have rushed out and spent like drunken sailors and it got us nowhere but in debt. Anderson, Stuart, Zappia, Fisk, big dollars imported players etc, etc.
It's like the Simpsons episode where the school strike oil. Before they even have the oil out of the ground they have spent the money. Otto wants one of those "guitars that are like, double guitars" and Willy wants a diamond slop bucket. The reason these items are funny, obviously, is that they are of no real benefit.
The same could be argued about the benefit of paying big dollars for a CEO and big name coach. Will they really make that big a difference? I don't care how good the coach is, I doubt he'll have the passion of Flannagan for the Sharks and that's good enough for me until he proves otherwise.
The bank still want their money, give 'em no reason to doubt they'll get it. Keep up the sensible business practices that Irvine has implemented in the last two years
People consider Cronulla amateurs, and I tend to agree unfortunately.
They need to bring in some experienced heads. Not just employ people which are cheap and expect them to produce!
I don't think the events of the last few days show, and especially the last two years, show that at all. It would be amateur to spend money that isn't yours.
