Yeah, but I would rather sack him then see a bloke who assaults his pregnant misses running around in my team.
i understand how you feel, but unforgunately other teams do not have the same high moral
standards that you do. for example i thought manly should have sacked brett stewart.
if we want to win a comp we have to develop this same win at any cost attitude. hopefully
the independent panel will take these decisions away from clubs.
also i do not understand so many people want to sack gordan who apparently pushed his pregant
girlfriend, which is very wrong. but would welcome back bird with open arms, who was accused of glassing
his girlfriend. i know he was proven innocent on appeal. but if was truely a accident as claimed he
would still be at the club.
i would also like to see bird back at the sharks. i would also like to see our best 17 players play for us each
week. i have been supporting the sharks for 36 years & do not want to have to wait another 36 years to win a comp
cause we have high moral standards & sack players were other clubs keep them.

The conviction is the difference. You can't compare an accusation with a conviction.

Aaaaaand here we go with the Bird thing again. Bird was sacked for what happened with relation to lying to the club and trying to blame his mate etc. If that part hadn't have happened, he'd probably still be here.

This argument is becoming so ****ing tedious.

well as i said hopefully these decisions will be taken off the clubs & made by the independent commision,
as at the moment i do not think all teams are playing on level playing field.
the point i was trying to make is atm gordan is playing for the sharks as long as he does that he will
get my support, also i think none of the other nrl clubs would have sacked one of there players under the
same circumstances, so neither should we.

I don't think he offers that much anyway he is a backup winger at best, if we let him go it would be no big gain for another club. I'm not fussed either way.

Has anyone been down to training and seen where Graham has been training, forwards or backs?

From all reports mate he will be our starting 7. I really don't think Graham see's himself as a forward just yet. Bit like the Braith Anasta drama.

Putting Graham at half will be Flanagans first mistake of the year

Who else do we put there??
Albert??
Robson??
Chad??
To me it comes down to Robson or Chad as Albert needs to sort his shyte out.
Chads last game in under 20s was not good, i know we keep hearing that he is training the house down but maybe he does need a year in nsw cup .What i dont want to happen is another simmo/ gifted games in NRL...
Robson by all reports is a better 9 than a 7 even though game time has been more at7.
I know wade is not a genuine half but he is a good talker and we may just have to go down that road for a couple of weeks. The dark horse here is Morris if he gets selected as a 9 or a bench 9--13 where does that leave robson as i have a feeling he will be in the squad.

I think Robson and De Gois will be on hooker rotation. Morris from what i was hearing was being shopped around to english clubs but nobody took him on. He will play out the season in NSW cup should no injuries happen. I think we should see Graham to start with at half. He was one of our most consistent players last year, and can play a steading role with Carney doing most of the ad lib stuff. Kicking could be an issue but its great to see the coaching staff have taken the step to bring in Nick Davis to help out in that area. This was Wades biggest weakness i felt last year.

I think come origin/test time, we will see a switch for graham to the back row given gal and Jez's likely selections in rep games. Chad should have seen enough time in NSW cup by then to come in. This is a make or break year for AK. The way he reacts to the off field stuff will either see him play a role in firsts and continue to improve, or he will play out the year in NSW Cup and struggle to play firsts with us again.

No idea why we need two hookers. De Gois is our best hooker by a mile and in the best 8 hookers in the comp. Those teams don't bother 'rotating' their hookers, they just have a forward utility on the bench who can slot in there if need be. That should be Graham for mine, unless Peachey is in the 17. I can't believe we've got guys like Robson and Morris being picked at the expense of at least a few of Townsend, Frizell, Peachey, Bukuya or Tupou.

The only problem I see with DeGois being our only hooker is I'm worried about how long he will last if we make him play big minutes, lets face it he is very injury prone.

He is a crap 5/8 as he just isn't good at giving the backs good ball but he is a great organiser and leads the forwards well so I think he is a good halfback. If he has improved his kicking he will be great there for carney but I don't chad is an improvement atm even though he was my first choice.

Graham isn't a crap 5/8th, but he isn't a Marshall/Carney style all-round half. Graham likes to run and play his passes short and close to the line, putting guys in holes- much like John Sutton. Sutton isn't great but iirc he did lead the competition with try assists and LB assists in 2010... he's got great hands, but has never been able to let early ball go for his outside backs.

according to monday,s daily telegraph which is already on line. Carney will start at half back
with graham at 5/8 for our first trial agaisnt manly. but the article also indicated if carney was
partnered by either chad or robinson he would then play 5/8. i may be wrong but i think graham at
6 with carney at 7 will most likely be our halves combination for round 1.

So what would your rotation be? If you don't want a hooker on the bench because you want an extra second rower how many minutes does that second rower get and how many minutes do the other forwards get?
