Yes mate, totally understand getting up and leaving your seat for young kids. Totally understand that. And yes I accept all the stuff that goes on with the big bash as you say as old guys we need to get over it!

Yes my lad wasn’t really into Test matches until this year and we were going to get tickets on day 4 of the SCG test but of course it finished early so I couldn’t take him but will definitely do it next year. I was lucky that I had tickets for day 3!

If you don’t mind sitting on the side, the Bill O’Reilly stand is not too expensive. But yes other areas can be around $170 and that’s concession as well. I think that’s an absolute rort, charging that much for kids and seniors, but they seem to get away with it.
Nup I need to be behind, hate sitting side on at the cricket. Will be his first one so happy to pay up.

My goodness HB, that’s two Sixers functions we’ve been to and have missed each other. We were in Bay 318.

I agree, cannot stand the music, I hate it no matter what is playing. It’s obvious they do it to keep people engaged I guess, attract the non cricket people. Go to the Test, none played at all in between balls.

Its amazing too how so many people get all excited about a beach ball bouncing around and paper aeroplanes. 🤦‍♂️
Sometimes I feel like saying to them, “Hey Morons, your bus is leaving.” Just like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. 😆

While I’m on the rant, I just cannot understand why people constantly leave their seat while the game is on. If they’re with kids I understand I guess, perhaps they need the toilet, but the number of adults who do are crazy. One guy I counted left his seat no less than 12 times. Maybe they’re getting beers but surely you don’t need to leave that often.

Another thing that left me scratching my head was a family of four in front of us, all decked out in Sixers gear, left the game with 5 overs to go. WTF??? There didn’t seem to be any emergency so God knows why they didn’t stay to the end.

But despite all these inconveniences that aggravate an old man, I really enjoyed the game, 400 runs scored and a masterclass from Steve Smith. Brilliant stuff.
If they knew what was good for them they'd book in a ukelele band!
