**** I'm angry, just received a msg from our opposition saying they've voted not to play tomorrow.

Absolute bullshit.

Not as if it's been raining for days plus we play with a soft ball, not leather.

Both teams are meant to turn up and make a joint decision on what to do. This is a case of lazy fat parents opting for a sleep in over giving the kids every opportunity to play. **** I'm angry.

Rant over.

Coach from the other team said they are the guardians of their childrens safety and have every right to call it off. I said how the **** can you make that call without turning up to the ground and looking at it. Lazy ****ing parents wanting a sleep in. I sent their club a complaint. This attitude from parents really shits me.

Yeah agree with all that, unfortunately parents put their own interests ahead of the kids at times.

Nothing used to ruin my weekend more as a kid than having the sport called off.

Keen to get into some coaching when my kids are old enough to play sports, will need to get some tips off you

Yep, not good form at all.

For us, the Association have already called tomorrow’s games off. Fair enough it’s been bucketing down here all day and all night.

Normally we’d go to the ground first too but the SSJCA have got in first.

I should add today’s postponement is good for us. We were playing the top team so it’s good to bank 3 points for the draw. Keeps us in touch with the top four teams.

Only regret was I didn’t get to implement my master plan. I’ll leave it now for next time we play a top team.

We got rained out today. Managed to play 2 games this whole season due to weather. We’re in round 7 🤦‍♂️

Using only 5 bowlers in our 30 overs. Maximum any bowler can bowl is 6 and not more than 4 consecutive.

Normally, with the idea of participation, you give everyone at least two overs. Our keeper hates bowling though, so he keeps for the whole 30 overs. We have five bowlers who bowl fast and accurate and the other five not so much, too many wides, no balls and bad balls.

So instead of giving the top team with four gun batters, the chance to plunder those bowlers, I’ll stick to my better ones to keep up the pressure.

But four of those five not so good bowlers can bat, so that will be their chance to shine.

Can’t do it every game because it’s not fair to those kids.

Next weekend we play a team well below us so I’ll save this plan for later.

Probably a bit too competitive for an Under 16s game but oh well.
