So what’s that - min 4 games, max 8 games.

I reckon his form will be decent, knowing there’s a finish line in sight.

I think 8 games gets him to 300 total NRL games (250 for us and 42 Penrith).

Not a bad way to go out.

After the very dark days of 2009-2010, no one seemed to want a bar of Cronulla and only used us to push their price up with other clubs. Then after bursting onto the scene, a young half from Penrith decided to come to the shire and give us fans a glimmer of hope that things might turn around.

After 3 disappointing seasons, it felt a little unbelievable that we managed back to back finals appearances in 2012 and 2013.

Then USADA hit and the existence of the Sharks was on the brink. Despite all the drama, Wade turned up each week and gave us amazing performances. Didn’t matter if the rest of the team was having a shocker, Wado seemed to always find a way to put in a stellar performance.

An integrable part of the 2016 grand final year and had a phenomenal season to say the least. Feels surreal to know that our last connection to that premiership is gone in just a few short months, while it was 7 years ago it feels like yesterday being in that stadium losing my mind when Leutele and Beale shut down the right edge attack and make that tackle to end our drought.

All the best Wado, I hate to think where this club might be if you didn’t make that switch back in 2011 but I’m sure as hell glad you did.

A Cronulla legend ⚫️⚪️🔵
Those memories of us v the Storm where Wado used to monster the kickers - especially Cooper Cronk.

Back in the days before the princesses had to be protected.

Would have loved to see the old Wado up against Moses.

One of the great recent memories is in 2020 when Wade got the ball back from the dropout with 8 minutes to go against Brisbane which sparked our comeback from 8 points down

Absolute legend. I'm glad he's gotten to go out on his own terms (or be seen to be anyway).

Couldn't agree more that you wouldn't've want anyone else in his position when he was at his best. Was a prototype edge backrower/lock that had everything really. Tough as nuts. Super competitive. Footwork. Ballplaying. A halves passing game. A very tidy attacking kicking game. Kind of surprised he only played 6 Origins.

Maybe the only small stain on his record were his regrettable captains challenges. He never figures those out!

I also recall him being injured / suspended for 2 or 3 years in a row at one stage.

At his best I personally thought he was the best second rower in the comp at one stage.
