As I have I said previously I think we should use him just like the roosters use anasta. Give him the 11 jersey and let him go wild on the left edge.

Yep. Or swing around to the right. Not enough blokes swap to the other side and link up with their buddy any more. Remember when centers used to do that? Why did that even stop?

i agree deano, and this post makes me piss my pants with laughter when i read it

Back to the centre discussion as per the OP:

Best will be an automatic selection, so you've got plenty of other guys competing for the other spot. My personal preference would be to play Bukuya there, since he's better defensively than anyone else we've got. I'd rotate him between back row and centre, and give all of the young guys a taste of FG. As discussed elsewhere pretty-much everyone we've got is a left-side centre, except maybe Mills. Pomeroy and Wright have shown that they can play a supporting role, but not as our first choice right centre.

Left centre:

1. Best
2. Pomeroy
3. Leutele/Wright

Right centre:

1. Sign someone (Inu?)
2. Bukuya
3. Mills

where should we play graham next year

i think graham should move to the back row, with kelly or towsend to partner carney in the halves with trial form to determine which player starts round 1. At this stage i would probually go with carney & kelly.

Go carney and townsend, with kelly on the bench as a utility/hooker player, with de gois the starting hooker.

Graham thread would probably be a good place for this discussion especially considering it has already been talked about a great deal in there.

Backrow. Doesn't matter if he's got 11,12 or 13. Just get him out there as a ball playing back rower that troubles defenses with his strength in the running+passing games. Simple as that.

a few people have suggested playing kelly from the bench as hooker, a few years back we tried that with another smaller half preston cambell & he struggled & ended leaving the club.
at this stage i would go with carney & kelly in the halves graham at lock. i think townsend will benefit from another year in nsw cup.
plus i think de gois will be able to play 80 minutes & if not i think someone like morris would fill the bench hooker better as he would not be playing out of his normal postion.

I can't believe anyone would be that stupid to start their own thread about this topic.

Apples and oranges.

I'm not suggesting that we do it, but the above example has little relevance imo.

Especially when he is posting pretty much the exact thing he has posted elsewhere.

we have tried using a small half as a bench hooker a few years back. it did not work with preston cambell & i do not think it will work with kelly either. for me trial form will decide wether kelly or townsend gets first chance to play with carney. at this stage i think kelly would be the favourite as he & carney are potentially the most dangerous.
