I think you are overrating Barrett abit. I completely agree with you about the direction. That is a major risk. But Barrett's kicking game, other than the occasional 40/20 has been very unreliable.

I'm not overrating Barrett i'm just comparing him to Graham and Smith. Which is a massive downgrade because you have a halfback that is to scared to run the ball and has been shown in the past that he is not capable of leading a team and a rookie 5/8 coming that is being kept out of a team by travis burns, which is saying something.

i dont think he has watched wade play. his long kicking game is nrl standard, and he has a accurate bomb.
its repeat sets we will struggle with

Newcastle have a similar problem to Parramatta tbh.

You guys have struggled to fill the massive hole that Andrew Johns left when he retired.

Parramatta almost 20 years later are still struggling to fill the gigantic hole Peter Sterling left when he prematurely retired in 1992.

Ben Rogers is not an NRL standard half in any stretch of the imagination.

I think in 2011 u will see Tim Smith open up a little, they will have had a break and a chance to start over with SF at coach. I think when he came to the club RIcky was dictating what Smith did too much, and didnt allow him to play his game. we know he can play, and play well......
