I think he has earned a down year and for us to be patient. He will bounce back with the team as a whole improving.

He's not a rookie, shouldn't be having down years when he's in our Top 5 highest paid, Captain and one of our most experienced.

If those players are having down years it's no surprise we only came 8th and got knocked out week 1.

Oh I agree. More just mean I'm not considering writing him off after this year.

It's a good listen. Pretty long though.

Nothing too ground breaking. Was critical of how the club handled the Carney situation in just sacking him straight away. Which is probably fair, would potentially saved us some money too!

Seems to like Morris, think alot of the pressure on him is pretty unfair.

Bullish on next year, thinks alot of those players who have been around the last two years will start transitioning to really good players and play more consistent footy. Suppose he's not going to say anything negative though.

Yeah, you always need to take these interviews with a grain of salt.

24yr old Wade would've handled the Carney sacking more professionally than Noyce did and as you say would've saved us a stack of cash.

I thought it was noteworthy that Wade said he hopes can focus back on just footy next year after having to put time/attention into other **** to do with COVID. We all said he looked distracted or injured at times this year so that hopefully explains his poor season & its an easy fix.

How is the Carney stuff relevant now - was a lifetime ago, different board members ect as well

sounds more like something you would talk about post retirement reflecting on your club / career as a whole

though I spose ASADA stuff still gets brought up

True but assuming he was asked about it, probably answering a question.

Its a 1h 45m interview. They discussed him being a kid too which was even longer ago. As HB correctly assumes Finch asked the question Wade just answered.

Anyway all he said is he thought Todd should've been given an opportunity to explain himself. If they still wanna sack him no worries but what harm in waiting a day. He wasn't wrong.

Noyce had baggage with Todd from their Roosters days & his hastiness to sack Todd cost us a million bucks or something stupid like that.

yea I figure but why even ask about it? it's ancient news, who gives a **** about it now?

It was all part of painting the picture of the **** storm of the spoon yr & how everything unfolded after ASADA & before the prem.

Not sure if you listened to it but Finchy basically does a This is your life walkthrough, starts at junior days at Penrith to now and they covered off key milestones and things through out the year. And Carney's thing popped up but wasn't a big part of the overall podcast.

If I’m an opposition player as far as I’m concerned Flanju just came out and said ‘if you go after me hard you can probably put me off’ and thinking being extra aggressive is a good idea.
So enjoy that Flanju
