im sold on a smith/graham combo for round 1 2011

After Smith's performance last week as well as Graham's 2 weeks ago I would be fine with that as long as both have a strong pre-season and keep their form up to at least satisfactory levels on a consistent basis. Will be good to have Scott Porter and Albert Kelly hanging around as depth/pressure tho.

meant to post this last night, but graham played nyc.
he is too good for that league.
penrith lost 26-24, but were down 26-0.
when the half back for penrith got wade involved they came back. both team scored 5 tries but penrith kicker is garbage.
the on thing that impressed me more than his running or defence, was his kicking.
penrith got a penalty 10 out from there line, he kciked it down with no effort and they got a tap about 35 out from the line. 2 tackles later wade kicks for a try.
all in all he is going to be a good signing for us

I'm watching him play 7 against Melbourne a while back.

I reckon he could (read: should) be our halfback next year because there's a lot to like about his game. I have question marks over his creativity and short kicking game, but otherwise he gets ticks for leadership, intelligence, toughness, footwork, bombs, long kicking, passing both sides and certainly for his defence.

I'm hoping we're looking at turning him in to an organising 7 who's a good leader and really controls his forwards and the middle third with Kelly running off him and lighting up the backline. We do need to find a ballplaying hooker though too I suspect.

Scott Prince he aint, but Graham could be a slow Cooper Cronk.

Cant end the discussion until we see kelly in the 7 or 6 in first grade, tbh I want someone with more experience partnering Graham and well Kelly aswell, he's still very green and if **** hits the fan i have a feeling he will feel like he's in quicksand if he's there with another young kid

Graham and Kelly. There is piss all difference between a 6 and 7 nowadays. I mean look at the goons, Soward is clearly their halfback but runs around with 6 on his back. Just let these two KIDS build a partnership and see if they can develop a good combination.

Well Graham and Kelly is looking to be our best option for halves pairing. Whether that's what we're going to see out on the field next year, that's another story.

Same here Snowman, people say Smith does not run and take on the line maybe the coach tells him not to, to just feed Barrett with good ball
