Yeah a 5 would be nice, but if we dont get one I would like to try either Leutele,Tautai or Stapo (Mills won't be anywhere near ready). As for Pom, for mine has been back to 08 form, I am happy to leave him there if he continues playing like he has been.

I would like Smith & Tighe but I think a strong 7 is clearly the most crucial thing for us. The others we could do without and still be successful, but without a 7 I think we are in for another "sad" year at the footy.

May I ask what strong 7 you would suggest? I do not think that much is out there...

rams is spot on. collis has been able to do his thing onl when given some quality and quick ball. ergo it's the men inside we need to focus on.

Graham and Smith would compliment each other well I think, although Smith still has a lot to do to prove himself. We know what he is capable of but until he needs to string together a handful of strong and consistent games. As much as I love Ports I must admit I have been writing Smith off too much (after some horrible performances, in my defense) but he does have more potential and if he can just get some of his confidence back we could see a new Tim Smith next year. Hopefully, anyway.

<EDITED>

WADE Graham has paid a swift price for his decision to sign with Cronulla this week. The teenager was yesterday cut from Penrith's extended bench for tonight's crucial game against the Cowboys. He will play under-20s instead, with no guarantee of a return to the top flight for the rest of 2010. Adding to Graham's frustrations was a report that falsely stated he was offered a $200,000-a-year extension by the Panthers last season. The fact is the Panthers made the offer in 2008 - when Graham had barely debuted and was still at school - and was worth far less than claimed.

<EDITED>

STAND aside Liam Fulton and Beau Ryan - we've heard that Panthers star Luke Lewis is making a belated run for the NRL's title of best prankster.

Lewis's crank calls have certainly spooked Panthers teammate Wade Graham, who received a voicemail from someone claiming to be Sharks enforcer Paul Gallen while he was still deciding whether to switch clubs.

"I don't answer private numbers and when the voicemail came through, I thought it was Lewie playing a joke on me," said Graham, who signed a two-year deal with Cronulla this week.

"Lewie is the best - he gets the boys all the time.

"I was too worried to ring back, so I rang Lewie to check and he gave me Gallen's number. It matched the one on the voicemail. I was relieved when Gallen answered for real - although I felt pretty silly."

a really stupid decision by the coach, his team has a good shot at the title provided they can recapture their early season form and he goes and weakens his squad.

Sure if they were like us and out of the finals running then drop him but he's a Top 17 player.

Only thing holding that team together is Lewis and Petero, Elliot doesn't have much respect from the players.

well there's that too, also would of been good for him to get some more game experience, especially finals experience. Could prove very valuable for him.. and us.

Don't underrate Collis tho. His defence has been superb and he does make a break when given the opportunity. He does need to do more in attack tho. I just hope a good halfback will do some of the work for him.

I couldn't agree more !!!!

Fair enough, they already have Walsh and Burns and I'd be calling for him to be dropped if it was my team and we had other options. If it was someone more established then no but he is still developing so why help your competition?

Travis Burns, now that's bloke I want to see flattened.

We all know he used to be a lower grades player here and now he becomes a decent player elsewhere.

Extreme sore point really.

I didnt know he was a Sharks junior. Interesting. Still I wouldn't want him. Talented player but always injured or suspended. Very inconsistent also.

Strong defender, good mongrel, but doesn't do enough with the football. Very little creativity.

I believe he is from the bush originally, Ramzyv, but he played in our 2004 Flegg Grand Final side(really painful to watch us lose that game) but went to Manly a year later.

We had quite a good team in that league then with the Goodwin brothers,Burns etc. in the team.

it was 2004 I believe and it was very painful to watch, should of been awarded that try near the end of the game.

Flanno was the coach for the undefeated Roosters that year.

Goodwin scored two tries, Porter nailed a filed goal.

Douglas was on the bench, Ciraldo, Selmes, Brown. Lots of familar names

Yeah, was pretty pissed off after that game.

That was a deadset try imho.

I have despised Jamie Soward ever since for potting that field goal to win Easts that GF, the little ****.

Yeah it was a pretty handy side that, pity a few of them didn't kick on though.

Dougie was the only one who became a class player.
