The Cronulla Sharks have offered Wade Graham a three-year contract extension in the hope of securing the future Sharks captain before he is poached by rivals.
The Sharks tabled their opening offer to Graham's management on Wednesday as part of of their plans to lock up a number of off-contract stars. They are also in negotiations with NSW and Australian forward Andrew Fifita and promising hooker Michael Lichaa.
All are in demand, with Graham already receiving expressions of interest from four NRL clubs.
Graham, who made his representative debut for City last year and could be an Origin contender if he starts the year strongly, has expressed his desire to stay put.
