Akuila Uate from Knights.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves from Manly.
Trent Hodkinson, Eels 09
Karlos Filiga, Sharks 09
Daniel Penese, Penrith 09
Jamal Idris, Bulldogs 09
Ben Matulino, NZ 09
Sonny Fai, NZ 09
Taulima Tautai, Parra 09
Tony Williams, Manly 09
Joseph Tomane, Storm 09
Simon Dwyer, Tigers 09

Its to hard to name all promising players off the top of my head, though IMO all these players will be great footballers down the track, maybe not necassarily in '09 but in the future.

Whose the Penrith prop who played for NZ Maori the other day? Sam M......

Can't remember the last name, bloody impressive though.

McKendry.... At times can be lazy and at times has a poor work ethic. I only saw the 1st half of that game. He's a big boy though, has lost something like 20kgs over the last couple of years. He has impressed me before and has also disappointed me!

McKendry, thats the one.

From what I saw it'd be a massive waste and a real shame if he didn't pull his finger out and be a regular in firsts.

Yer 100% agree, has the makings of being a good front rower in the NRL. I know Penrith has a certain expectation of him.

i think that he will kill it in Melbourne next year, im pretty sure that he will play 5/8 with Inglis moving to the centers. He has great potential if he can stay out of trouble. In the few times ive watched him he has been awesome, he looks to have a solid passing game and an awesome running game with some amazing footwork. I dont know much about his kicking game but you dont need one inside smith n cronk

Lachlan Coote, Penrith
Justin Carney, Raiders
Simon Williams, Knights
Jordan Rankin, Titans
Shannon Walker, Titans
Obe Gaieh, Cowboys
Broderick Wright, Parra

Yeah I rate both Coote and Carney. I also like Wrights work rate. As for Walker I heard he is struggling big time and may even leave Titans.

Agree with you here. Arana Taumata looks to have the goods with some class. Great signing for Melbourne. Has a great running game, solid passing game, good defender, very confident. I have seen a fair bit of Arana through his schoolboy days and was just a spark from the bench. I was surprised he wasn't selected for NZ with Leuluai and Fein picked over him. I have seen him out a fair bit too and have never seen him causing trouble. Him at 5/8 pushing GI to centre just makes them more threatening with the footy now :(
