Essentially doubled his minutes from debut two weeks ago and his output remained close to the same from eye-test(will let @BurgoShark handle a deeper comparison if he's so inclined).

Agree with Proud was a but gassed towards end of stint but to be expected of a 22yr old with that frame.
Think 10-15mins is the sweet spot for him at moment.

Club slowly built Tommy up until they knew he was ready, we're reaping the benefits of that now. Expect to see the same with Tuks.

Can't lie though; cannot wait to see a game where he is coming on for his stint with AFB coming back onto the field next year.
Had very favourable possession numbers. 90% in the first half. Output was similar to his first game.

How Tuks goes when the other team has the ball for long stretches will be the real test. Tommy passed with flying colours last year.

Increasingly optimistic that big Tuku can become a major weapon for the team. I don't know how good he is with his hands but his size will worry opposing coaches trying to stop him close to the try-line (either directly or just being used as a decoy).

Love him, but can he increase his minutes slightly? I know his present role doesn't require him to play more minutes, but if he had to, could he?
At that size I think he (anyone!) would struggle to play many more quality minutes. The 20 minute stint at full speed should probably be his goal to find a more permanent place in the side.

Tuks - 197cm, 117kg
Afb - 189cm, 123kg
Tino 197cm, 107kg
NAS - 200cm, 115kg

Interesting comparison. You're probably right, there's no reason he couldn't, it's just whether or not he's had the opportunity to develop in that role rather than as an impact forward.

I didn't realise Tino was that tall.

You are not getting the same quality out of Tuks for 60 though. I think that's what he is getting at.

If Tuks can average 35-40 runs per 80 minutes like last week... while also playing 80 minutes... let's sack everyone else and just run with a 2-prop rotation next year.

There are heaps of tall boys running around, to varying degrees of minutes and effectiveness

NAS - 200cm, 115kg
Nut - 198cm, 116kg
Klemmer 198cm, 109kg
Paseka - 197cm, 120kg
Tuks - 197cm, 117kg
Kerr - 197cm, 112kg
Tino 197cm, 107kg
D Saifiti - 195cm, 121kg
D Saifiti - 195cm, 114kg
Tui - 195cm, 110kg
Welch - 195cm, 110kg
Haas - 194cm, 117kg
Matterson - 194cm, 107kg
Collins - 194cm, 106kg
Hughes - 193cm, 111kg
Keppie - 193cm, 110kg
JWH - 193cm, 108kg
Neame- 193cm, 106kg
AFB - 189cm, 123kg (moves well for the short fatty of the group!)

Tuks may yet even fill out a bit at his age.
Just because others play longer minutes doesn't mean he can, but just because some don't definitely doesn't mean he can't.

We'll let him learn and develop for now and see where we end up.

If he only ever plays shorter stints, but they are very effective, I will trust that the coaching team and the player are happy that is the best use for him. If he becomes a bloke who played up to 60 most weeks, or more, then I'll trust that is the best use of him.

Making him play big minutes now, or even next season, when we don't need to just because guys like Tino and Haas can doesn't seem like a strat I'd like our coach to implement.

Next season, year after, year after that, who knows what his role will be. Hopefully it is to kill it for us, however many minutes that is!

(not just a response to you Proud, adding to the convo just building on what you listed)
(someone else can convert for Chad)
