Nah Ritson was more direct, legit no one could bring him down in his first year with us. His post contact metres would have been off the charts if they kept them back in those days.

Yeah I'm the same, too young to have seen him play unfortunately.

Always amazes me when I hear some of the olders boys talk about him and then you look him up and realise just how bloody young he was.

High tackle, think it was Lomax from memory. Had a brain cyst, almost killed him.

I saw Ritson play. Could have been anything. Sad he had to quit but had no choice.

I played with Ritson in the under 16s junior footy. The next year he was making his 1st grade debut!

Just to be clear, it was the high shot that lead him to get scans where they found the cyst in his brain. It's unknown what caused the cyst.

Ironically, the high shot may have saved his life.

The other thing with Tuks stint... can we please put to bed the notion that Fitz as a "new coach" doesn't know how to manage an interchange?

Clearly Fitz has a plan when he gets the 4th forward on there to go full noise for 10 minutes. We've seen at least 5-6 different guys used in that role during Fitz's time and they have an impact more often than not.

He definitely has a plan for bringing up new forwards. You look how he slowly built Tom up from 10 - 15 mins to 30+ now.

I think some of us felt at times last season he left Toby on for 5 to 10 mins to long in his first stint.
