Ok squad. Mitch brown in the centres. Dear God no!

It's a trial mate. Just gives him a chance to show what he can do. The fact that Bird, Beale and Holmes haven't been named would seem to me they are right in the mix for Round 1. Giving them a bit of a rest.

Decent looking squad in the trial, looking forward to seeing Gagan, Sami, D Fifita in action especially Barba! Interested to see how Politoni goes aswell, he impressed me a bit in the 9's.

A few of our contracted players from last year have been named aswell, the likes of Robinson, Kurt Dillon, Patrice Siolo etc. are they all still our contracted players?

Be interesting to see how watered down Manly's lineup is compared to ours.
Not watered down much at all, only Foran and Matai will be unavailable..

Thanks for posting the team. Must say a couple of players I haven't heard of. Any one know much about the new guys ? Judd, Evans, Kara, Eyles etc ?
eyles is straight out of the aquinas colts squad- plays fullback, wing and centre. I think he is on a trial and train contract.
Kara is from the roosters and is now signed to the Jets team, very consistent player who gets his job done without being flashy, he plays hooker and lock.

Agreed, though I wont be surprised to see him rnd 1.

Unfortunately disagree. Beale will likely see rnd 1. Holmes will get some time throughout the year but will start in seconds (hope im wrong), Bird will be lucky to see firsts at all this year (again, hope to be wrong...both kids look the goods).

Captain Robbo, would also like to see how big D Fifita goes
I hope he does well and gets a late call up for that Indigenous All Stars stuff, would be a good chance for the big fella to press for a first grade bench spot.

Maybe I haven't seen as much of D Fifita as others? I still doubt we talk about him if his surname wasn't what it is.

Dude probably wouldn't be here to start with if he didn't have the beast of a twin brother.

I like the way he plays though, workhorse that can bust tackles and offload, can even kick goals. Obviously not as good as Andrew, but *meh*, Andrew wasn't that good 4 years ago yet was still first grade quality.

Fact is he does have that surname.... he also has that same build and bulk.

It's like having two Mack trucks alongside each other.... the first has a highly tuned engine and is at peak performance. A real muscle truck which makes your business a success. The second truck has an untuned, rusted and busted old engine that doesnt seem capable of the performance of the first truck BUT...... it's STILL a Mack Truck.

Maybe after a tune up (to get it fitter) and an oil change (to get it motivated) and a few new parts (new attitude) it might... just MIGHT perform something like the other Mack Truck. For the business's sake its worth perservering with. After all...it IS a Mack.

nah, the reserve grade games I saw him play he was very good, so there is a foundation there for him to build from

^So you subscribe to the identical twin theory? OK.
lol here we go again

That is the main reason why he would catch most peoples eyes but in saying that he has physic to dominate, if he gets his head right and fitness up there should be good. Also I'd love to see him just run straight and hard none of this sideways ****
