2nd trial game up this Friday night, wonder how stacked the teams will be for this one.

Nicho and BT back?

Dale, Toby, Brailey?

Will Xerri get a jersey for the Dogs with all their players possibly coming back?

To take another stab at a line up

1 Kennedy
2 Katoa
3 Iro
4 Ramien
5 Mulitalo
6 Trindall
7 Hynes
8 Kaufusi
9 Brailey
10 Hunt
11 Nikora
12 Wilton
13 Finucane

14 McInnes
15 Hazelton
16 Williams
17 Dykes

I'll stop at 17 but the likes of Talakai, Atkinson, Berrell, Stonestreet, THT, Bradbury, probably Healey and Hosking all to feature with others.

Any best 17 with even slight niggles leave out though.

Iro I will guess to get first crack again but this is his chance to win the spot, if he doesn't standout Talakai will move back into the front running.

Kennedy, Hynes, Blayke all max 40 mins. Finucane probably one stint only. Trindall to spend time partnered with Atkinson in second half (maybe even back of first half) before Puru replaces him.

No more than 60 mins for anyone in the 1-17 jerseys.

Can find out how wrong I am soon!

As for your second question regarding Xerri - he will feature in the match presumably, could even get named to start if Tracey still out but may not be in the running for best 17 currently. Still, if Tracey out this could be a good chance to make himself to good to shift for someone coming back from injury and not secure in his place in team either.

Is there a reason to assume Toeby won't play? I must have missed that. I'd have put Toeby to start, Hunt bench and Talakai starting centre to assume what we'll see named here. I'd like to see Iro get a run with the top side like you've mentioned though.

I guess I was assuming the toe, as reportedly has still be an issue. Obviously I have no idea where he is at - very well may play a bit to see how it pulls up, as he has also said it has been making some progress. Hell maybe he plays most of the game to really get a gauge on how it reacts.

I don't want to stress anyone out by trying to overthink (discuss) the trials but I'm working on the guess if Iro got first crack last time maybe he gets it this time too. Absolutely could go the other way, especially following what was an uninspiring effort when he was given the chance.

Yeah I see the logic either way. Will know more in just over an hour.

Haha very good! I thought you had misspelt his name on first read!

Haha you did over-think the Talakai one mate.

I’d be happy to see Iro given a run with proper NRL players. Didn’t blow the doors off but also had bugger all opportunity, and his edge only had defensive issues when down to 12 men.

Ataata also played the Jets trial. I reckon between that and his strong NRL cameo he might get another run at Hensen this week.

I would like to see more of THT against the Dogs. Would be nice to have one more reliable big body to call on if/when injuries hit.
