Yeah you could understand if a local club was organising it and raising some $, but it just sounds like it's the council behind it.

I went up there last year, it is not a good ground to watch footy (has a large camber) the main stand holds about 200 they bring in stands on trailers, for the opposite side of the field, you need to get there early as a lot of the Knights supporters take chairs and sit at the ropes, it was a very hot day and the fly's drive you crazy I stayed @ the John Hunter Motel it is next to McDonald's (Knights stay there) pool, spa, very nice cost $140 watch out for the radar particular just over the bridge @ Singleton and coming into town the ground is next to train station

Not much of a superstar line-up.

Tahu - not really
Snowden - isn't he injuried?
Buderus - he should be playing the over 40's

I live in Maitland & have been to the last 4 or 5 Knights trials, firstly in Cessnock & now Muswellbrook. Contemplating not going this year & saving my dosh for round 1 - tickets are $17.50.

Might travel to Shark Park & catch the CSSC bus to Leichardt. Will be a much better day for about the same cost.

This game will tell us alot more about where we are. I know we beat Manly last week but I think they may have been saving themselves for the World Club Challenge. Looking forward to this one.

not going up there and paying that amount. i'll save and put it towards a game at Toyota Stadium and know the money is going to the Mighty Sharks not a wasteful council.

Great way to put it! Why waste $250-$300 on going up there when you include food, petrol, booze and tickets. That's a season membership at the sharks. Anyone even considering going who isn't a member already should put the money towards becoming one!!!!

So do we know when to expect the line up to be announced ?

Also is anyone going to the game? They'll no doubt be score updates on the Knights forum but they're not entirely going to give an accurate interpretation from a Sharks perspective.
