How good is a game day thread, footy is back!

Who are we expecting to get a run here? Maybe Iro, Dykes, stonestreet and Colquhoun?

Possibly some of the top 17 in for a bit of a hit out too.

Tbh only two players I’d play from starting 13 would be Trindall and Wilton, and Trindall is out with All Stars.
Maybe filter in a couple more if there is a particular reason to get some contact in them.

I left Williams out intentionally but didn’t feel like there were many middles by time I got to the end so maybe start him at 13 and JC on the bench.

Hunt I’d play too, if he wasn’t at all stars.

Generally don't think trials go that way. Given the unlimited interchange, coach likes to see a variety of combos. Jesse might get some time on the edge even. I imagine by the second half it's pretty much your deeper depth guys out there.

Don’t like Him on edge, really think his best spot is in the middle. Guess it is a trial though.

Yeah agreed, just think that's what these games are for. Coach might be wanting to see more of how he goes in both spots if injuries require him to be called upon.

E.g. if I pick him at 17, can he plug a hole there if Tieg/Nikora get injured.

Yeah man good call. Think we have a hidden gem in Jesse C. With Dale coming to the end this guy has the opportunity to really cement a spot in the 17 for the foreseeable future. Hope he’s ready and can take it

Kinda hoping that he takes Jack's role and we see more of Williams in that Dale role for a bit. Too many good options at lock at the moment.

I think between Billy and all the other lower contract edge guys we’ve brought on board Fitz is probably pretty keen to run an eye over all of them.

Would only anticipate him spending time there if he started there personally
