Hi everyone,

Another new thread from me! It's the last one I promise.

Plus I am doing this just to annoy Gards. :)

Who makes your top 8 this year? I have to admit I don't have any room for us unfortunately.

Here we go:

Souths
Penrith
Canberra
Melbourne (unfortunately)
Roosters
Eels
Sea Eagles
Titans

Mine's similar to yours, though I expect Manly to struggle without Turbo.

Tigers the smokey.

In no particular order

Souths
Penrith
Easts
Canberra
Melbourne
Parra
Knights
Titans

I originally had Manly in but I just can't keep them there with the ongoing issues with Turbo.

1. Souths
2. Canberra
3. Melbourne
4. Roosters
5. Penrith
6. Titans
7. Eels.
8. Knights

Smokey Cowboys or Manly if Turbo can somehow play the rest of the season.

Its a clear top 5 and they could really land in any order. The rest are making up the numbers.

I reckon the Cows could be bottom 4 this year.

I’ll have a crack, why not.

1. Souths (reminds me a bit of how I felt about Penrith at the start of last season, just feels like they’ve got all the jigsaw pieces in place 1-13)
2. Penrith (losing some forwards hurts but should still one of the benchmarks this season)
3. Melbourne (It’s Melbourne, they don’t slide. They’ve replaced one of the best ever with one of the best young hookers running around in Grant, they will be in the mix as per usual)
4. Canberra (Really like they’re roster this year. Maybe a bit of a question mark in the backrow with Whitehead gone and CWN getting into off field trouble, but if Hodgson stays fit this year they’re a massive chance)
5. Sydney Roosters (I know I said a few weeks back that I thought they’d be top 4, but looking at what’s going on with Keary and how good Canberra look, I’ve changed my mind, I think Canberra can pip them for 4th)
6. Parramatta (I didn’t want to put them there and they look a little bit weaker then last year but they should still be good enough to comfortably settle into the bottom end of the top 8)
7. Gold Coast (their recruitment has been unreal and they’ve got a top notch coach, expecting a decent season from them)
8. Cronulla (I know I know, probably not, realistically it’ll probably be Newcastle finishing here, but **** it. I don’t think we’ll slide as far as some experts are saying we will)

With any injury luck (and that includes SJ missing only 4-5 games) I think we should be able to finish above Newcastle.
Need Moylan to do a decent SJ impersonation (or back end of 2018 Moylan impersonation) to make sure we are competitive to start with.

Manly are questionable around hooker but also around Turbo, and to a lesser extent Foran. Won't take much bad luck for them to miss the 8 and they are already off to a start with that having Turbo injured.
Think Aioli doesn't quite do a full AFB impersonation either and their edges last year played pretty well and have both left.

I'd guess same teams in the 8 as snowy has listed, but not sure about order. Maybe swap us and eels, and swap tits and storm.
