Top 4 side in 2020..... if

Like everyone I'm extremely frustrated by what's been dished up the last four weeks.

Extraordinary to think three weeks in a row we out score the opposition in tries and against the Storm with all the Smith hoopla we actually led them on tries 3-2 at one point the second half.

The year is over, even if they scrape into the 8 and for the simple fact they've never been able to play as a team. There has been no consistency with players in and out because of injury and even the coach was a late off season appointment. You can't compete like that in a tight competition. We won in 2016 because we fielded the same side week after week.

We have so much talent in this side if they can do the following

* Replicate the off field injury/recovery management used in 2016
* Back Johnson to be our match winner, we saw the first glimpse of what he can do tonight.
* Say goodbye to Prior (he's done), Feki (obviously going) & Dugan (tries hard but we can't have that much salary cap used by him anymore)

Johnson, Xerri, Hamlen Uele, Williams, Nikora are all guns, add Graham, Fifita & Morris playing more often than not and we have a gun side. Snag Jai Arrow and maybe keep Capewell. But they need an off season together and then a consistent 17 next year.

Admittedly jury still is out on the coach and Moylan but there's a good team in there if they can be a team again.

Johnson, Xerri, Hamlen Uele, Williams, Nikora are all guns

Lets fix the team by riding our three worst defensive players... Good plan.

Nikora should be playing NSW Cup. Williams should be playing less minutes or be playing NSW cup. Neither are good enough, and Nikora certainly isn’t good enough to carry Johnson.

Someone else who actually knows how to tackle should be playing next to Johnson next week. If you make the (justified) decision to carry one bloke who can’t defend (Johnson) because you need him in attack, you can’t put him next to a bloke who is just as bad (or worse).

I’ve seen enough of Nikora in the NRL. He’s Coen Hess 2.0. He needs to go back to NSW Cup to fix his defensive game.

I agree on nikora, it’s his first season and he looks tired, give the kid a blow for a few weeks atleast.
