Bishop & Watson were massive signings back then that put us on the contenders map - back when we were infants in the comp.

In the years since though, and if we're talking about signings from outside our catchment or junior squads...

The biggest impact has been from Lewis, Ennis and Maloney - possibly Barba?

These lists are pretty tough without being defined what context they are to be considered in - Carney was a massive signing and could be considered 'top 10' in the context of our club being an absolute shambles without many exciting quality players nor decent halves for instance but he doesn't get near a top 10 Sharks signing list for me in considering a host of factors at the same time

I would rate Kimmorly a bigger signing than Maloney

This is a tough sell because no doubt Maloney plays a big role in us winning our first premiership but if that's the only criteria considered then you would just pick our top 10 best performers from 2016

In addition we lost Preston which stung all us fans big time.

However I sometimes think people forget what a big name Noddy was and how good a player he was, probably only behind joey johns in the 7 at the time
Brett spent alot of his career here and his kicking game murders the halves we have had since he departed for the Dogs (including Chad and Jimmy in that equation)

Making it harder for Jimmy is that he is only half way through his second year with the club and has been diabolical at points throughout the season while building a steady reputation for poor discipline

So before any of you plebs get triggered consider my first point again

Assuming this is a list of "players who were signed away from other first grade clubs, and went on to have a large impact and/or be a very good long term player" rather than guys brought in when they were young etc. here is my list over the last 20 years ...

Kimmorley, Maloney, Fifita, Ennis, Stevens, McKenna, Campbell, W.Graham, Snowden, Townsend, De Gois (round 1), Lewis, Prior, M.Gordon, Barba

Worst ones were Vagana, Albert, Hannay, Barrett, Maitua, Hughes, Cuthbertson, Dykes (round 2), De Gois (round 2), Ross, Ayshford, Collis

Don't remember Noel Gallagher playing for us? Must've been after the breakup
