Hayne needs the number one jersey after today. Having him at 6 will give QLD another series.

"Sticky was totally honest during his time with the sharks. The board were not. Let go of the past "top 4 go sharkies believe 2012" "

Buckrod, i can' PM you for some reason so i'll answer yours here.

for the record - I am a fan and I am in no way formally connected to the club other than as a member (and all my kids) and corporate season ticket holder + knowing people at the club at various levels over the past 25 yrs. I probably contribute financially more to the club than most..

i fully support this board and coaching staff as it is the best since Gow/Lang days and has nearly fixed the almighty mess that Pierce and co created.

as a result you have called the current board a bunch of liars in open forum and you deserve to be challenged on it, so again, who is your source?

btw, "every local" does not know that the u'20's put local kids in for easy games - i don't and either does anyone i know...sounds like a bunch of b/s to me..

It’s good to know that our Club and current Board have strong support from high profile supporters/ members such as yourself. My post was about the comments made about the article in the telly, and not believing the shyte from Ricky (Yes indicating that Ricky was less then honest in that article but you don’t have any concern with that statement)….. Have you read said article.

But since you have raised the issues of imputation and believe that my comments may be misconstrued by fellow forum members to mean one group was less or more honest then the other. Your word “liars” not mine. I retract the offending part of the post and apologise to anyone who was offended.

Let’s see what open research is available.

1. Lets use the boards own published statement about the departure of Ricky Stuart.
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...-cronulla-sharks/story-e6frexnr-1225894287094

Sharks chairman Damian Irvine finalised release details with Fordham late yesterday afternoon before informing his board members late last night.
"Ricky has always remained loyal to his players and committed to developing them as individuals and as a team and his decision to stand down early was obviously not an easy one.
"It's the right decision for Ricky Stuart, and the right decision for the loyal sponsors, members and supporters of the Cronulla Sharks.
"As a board we've supported Ricky unconditionally in the past 12 months.
"We now wish Ricky all the best with his coaching career in the future."

2. Cronulla legend Gavin Miller tells former coach Ricky Stuart to stay out of club's problems
http://www.foxsports.com.au/league/...f-clubs-problems/story-e6frf3ou-1226009300195

Miller is convinced his struggling old club will die within 12 months unless members vote to support a $300 million development plan at Monday night's football club meeting at Sharks League Club, described as the most crucial in Cronulla's history.
"I see Ricky Stuart has described the board as a load of monkeys - well, what's this got to do with him," Miller said.
"Ricky's a friend of mine but he's made this personal.
"He left last year of his own accord because he had an unworkable relationship with Damian Irvine.

As we all know there are always versions of what has happened but what’s that a third party and club legend has clearly stated the reasons for Ricky’s departure. Honestly who believes who’s version is not the point, its always about the unwritten versions. I could say so much more but won’t as I would not like my posts to be misconstrued or to offend third party readers.

Those statements don't even contradict each other. Maybe the board did support Stuart unconditionally but Stuart didn't like Irvine?

What is Irvine meant to say "Ricky Stuart is leaving because he doesn't like me".
