Thommo considers retirement

Read in Rugby League Weekly that Lance Thompson is considering retiring and the end of this year if his dodgy right knee continues to play up. He says his goal is to play at then end of the 2009 season but all depends how his knee holds up during the year.

itll be unfortunate to see lance go but, he was always one of my fav dragons players. so i liked him even better when he joined the sharks!

its existed since we signed ricky
although gummy may have some better information, or rumors from more reliable sources
but if you read any article about tupou good odds are it will mention the sharks

i don't think we'll sign topou, he wants about $400K a year and theres a couple of teams that are willing to pay it. I don't think there is any way he is worth that amount of money but apparently the titans are keen. I would rather the sharks put some money into a top line centre.

And he also has the Diabetes to deal with.His outstanding work rate would be hard to replace.Reece Williams has great potential, just needs to lift one more level.Lets hope Lance overcomes these problems.

IF thompson does have to retire i would like to have tupou at the sharks, i also think that he is a strong chance of coming to us cozz he likes stickys coaching and he has stated that in the past.

williams would still get good game time if he did come though. who is our best up coming 2nd rower in the lower grades?

I too have come to apprieciate Thommo skills and hope that his dicky knee holds up.
