Melbourne released an official statement, Flanno basically told him to calm the farm, now he's linked to the Warriors.

To be honest, if you told me 6 months ago that Tom was the only player in the media re contract talks, I would have taken it.

Tricky, Nikora, Ronnie - media tried their hardest to make a big deal and was quickly shut down.

Even Atko was done quickly and quietly.

It's what makes me fairly sure he'll leave. Any time we are aligned with a player it seems to stay under wraps.

Of course it will stay under wraps if we are after a player, the media love stirring us up in particular compared to a few other clubs haha. Don't like seeing Cronulla after a top player until we actually sign them & love big players leaving us haha.

He said 2 months ago on Bloke in a Bar if he’s to stay Fitz needs to get the wallet out - so clearly pretty $ driven, not that I can especially begrudge him

Fact he’s not signed anywhere still suggests not only have we not done it though, but other clubs are also yet to be putting up the kind of numbers he wants.
Manager trying to push everything through the media now to push a false demand and try get the offers up.

I have always wanted to keep this guy. Based on form and ability.

But it’s getting to a point where I would be happy for Cronulla to give him a timeline and pull the offer…..

He has tried to sell himself to every crap team in the comp……..good luck him enjoying football getting carted every week playing for duds……

Yeah I'm not sure Fitz would even want to keep him now.

Stop reading the rumour mill / press BS so much management talk and games.

Club have handled player retention and negotiations brilliantly over the last 3 years.

Let it play out. Club knows what they are doing and prioritising.
