if the knights are saying hes asking too much surely thats a bit of a reality check for his management.

id be filthy on the sharks if we offered him longer than 2 years on over $400k per season

Uele underwhelming for the wicket he is on, though our pack largely controlled the warriors that first half so can't be too harsh. Tommy still best in an impact role imo

Is he honestly worth $600k to any club?

I really like him, but surely that is massive overs.
I would think more like:

We can afford to pay:$300 - 350k
Open market price: $400 - 450k

Though some clubs are desperate.

How much did Tigers pay for Hunt?

I seriously reckon Tobeby should give up $100k of his salary and we could use that to retain Big T on $400

He’s easily worth $600k. If he stays injury free he’ll be a top line prop by seasons end. He’s already number 2 at sharks for me. Easily better than Uele, Rudolf and that powder puff Kafusi.
Tom seems to have a good motor too.

DRAGONS HOPING ON HAZELTON

St George-Illawarra are close to securing a front-rower they desperately need.

Cronulla Sharks cult hero Tom Hazleton is set to knock back the Newcastle Knights and the Dolphins to sign with the Dragons.

He is a close friend of Daniel Atkinson, another Sharks star who is headed to St George-Illawarra next season.

Hazleton is a workhorse middle forward, who, at 26, is yet to peak. He hails from Goulburn and was recommended to the Sharks by club legend Gavin Miller.

The Sharks were desperate to keep him but can’t match offers from rival clubs.

The Dragons are desperate for more front-row firepower having lost Francis Molo and missed out on a number of props who were on the open market – Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Terrell May and Addin Fonua Blake.

If they're paying 600k good luck to him

He's made the Uele and Rudolph contracts look silly on current form and would be a loss. But with AFB locked in, Kaufusi ceiling likely higher and some good youngsters coming through we need to make cap concession somewhere.

Yeah would definitely prefer to keep him over those two but that's where we find ourselves. Like you said I reckon the future is very bright with don't of the younguns coming up.
