Does anyone else see this a problem.
Craig Preistley has been in our jersey flegg side since being selected from Gymea 18's last year. He has had a mixed year, in starting as the no9 for Flegg earlier on in the year, then being outsted to Gymea A grade to bench positions and then after missing a few games being told he can't play by Aaron Raoer and that his defense is woeful, to then the next week coming off the bench against St George (who were second at the time) led the team from the bench from 18 behind to which he kicked something like 4 from 4 and scored one maybe 2 tries (can't quite remember) and got man of the match.
Last week he was again on the outer, this week he is starting halfback for Premier league under a different coach????
The issue here I am addressing is not the player (I know for him personally it would be different) but this is an example of the mentality of our club. How does a player in such a short amount of time be in and out and up and down and pissed off and brought back continue to want to be part of this sporting organisation? I mean most clubs would have players that have personal problems with some coaching staff, but at what stage does management allow their staff (players included) to be treated this way???
I mean if this were a building site and the foreman continously watched a very capable and competent apprentice be berated by a trademan because they didn't like each other surely if the foreman was smart enough and wanted to retain his staff he would address the situation. (obviously this is a metaphor but you get my point, I hope)
So what I am saying is, at what point do the Sharks look at themselves on a huge basis and re-evaluate their directions, attitudes and organisation???
Any thoughts?
