up up cronulla was song tonight as the players ran on the feild. I'd like to know your thoughts on this . Is it a victory song and should it only be sung when we win. And who still sings the verse "we're all depending on you"

I reckon its a good fire up for the team. Knights do it too but its a different song, but really introduces the team to the park whilst the opposition listen.

not in the shire anymore :(
well, the line is 'now's the time to see good football, for the sharks are here' ... why sing that at the end of the game? Unless we're watching replays?

just once would i like to see us carve up someone like we did to manly a few years back..

playing the club song, getting all fluffy then loose..didnt want that to happen..happy we won, even happier our +/- is into positive figures

and we have consolidated our top 4 spot..

yeh its very interesting hearing everyone's reactions to this.
the way the song is written, its is an introduction to the team, but we've just grown so accustom to hearing it after a victory that we dont even take the lyrics into consideration - partially because we are all smashed by that time.:drunk
personally i dont like the idea of playing it as they run out. i reckon 'the pretender' is a really good way to get the crowd pumped up as they run out, but what has disappointed me was that they've ditched the jaws theme as an intro. i wasnt there last night so i dont know whether or not they resurrected that jaws theme.
IMO i thought the jaws theme pumped everyone up the most

"Name of the Sharks fits you," is the line that that I'm talking about, and most people sing and so do I "we're all depending on you".
Good point though shireboy.

peachey r u kidding, i was going to start a thread about this, i loved it and think every club should play their song before they run out, like the dogs 'who let the dogs out' (not their origional one) but surely gets the blood pumping, it was ****ing great loved it got the crowd going early on!
