Yeah obviously only if they can afford it. I'm not saying that it will be the sole reason that others sign, but it helps.

Look at Luai, I don't think there is any way he signs with the Tigers without their 2023 recruitment. If you get AFB, then convince hunt to stay long term, the ball is definitely rolling the way you want it to.

Not sure how much long term there is left for Hunt. Turns 34 before the 2024 season, if they only get AFB for 2025 Hunt is now 35.
Think that'd be pretty much it for him - maybe another 1 if they don't have a replacement and he's happy again.

Someone like Dearden might not mind coming for 1 year with Hunt but probably would want to know who their halves partner is likely to be afterwards (unless it is $$$ too good to care)

Metcalf would be on the first plane out, hasn't been the most patient to date.

CNK Egan Dearden SJ is a pretty nice spine. Don't actually think Dearden would go though.

Presumably if they are spending all that money on him though any trade from AFB new club is a dev prospect.
Pretty mild forward pack remaining (partially because a lot of the guys will be starting to get on), but they could go that route and bring through or sign some younger guys to freshen it up and start to transition in.

We cannot front load anything, so stop saying it. He is being released on compassionate grounds. NRL rules states that he needs to be paid exactly the same as what he would staying at warriors. So he is getting paid for 2024-2025 $1.15m.
After 2025 us or another club can pay him whatever he agrees to but there is no point talking about front loading anything as money only matters for 2026 onwards. Every club is in the same boat for 2024 - 2025 money wise. Only difference for that period is what we can offer the warriors to get him here early.
