The Oakland A's and not really they used stat's to build a team as they don't have money. So they basically play fantasy baseball but for realWasn't there some baseball team a few years ago that built an entire roster out of utility players and ended up being fairly successful? I don't follow the sport, but I remember hearing/reading about something like that.

Makes sense. Couple of handy centres added for them. Airmen was a handy player for year one, but would be depth next year if they are healthy.Euan Aitken is free to leave the dolphins if he can find a new home.
The movie is about Oakland A'sYeah are you confusing it with Moneyball?
The movie is alright from memory

Cleveland Indians, Ricky 'Wild Thing' Vaughn had a great seasonI’m talking about a completely different thing.
It used to be that in baseball teams would only ever pick specialists. 2nd basemen never play 3rd base etc.
There was a team a few years ago who had success by deliberately building a team of guys who could play multiple spots. It changed the game I believe. Now a lot of teams value these sorts of players.
I remember when Brendan Rogers thought it would be a good idea to put out a team with 8 midfielders. Didn't end to well as got pummelled by Stoke ! Think it was Steven Gerrards last game.Wasn't there some baseball team a few years ago that built an entire roster out of utility players and ended up being fairly successful? I don't follow the sport, but I remember hearing/reading about something like that.
The youngest of the Crighton brothers, Arthur, was always the best in that family growing up, but doesn't really have any interest in playing professionaly. None of them played league until about 16, strictly rah rahs before that age.Apparently he is even better than Blayke.
