The PNG boys look like they are carved out of wood and play like there Is no tomorrow.

I went to a Hunters game in Port Moresby a few weeks ago. Had a chat with an opposition player after. This is how it went…

“Tough game eh?”

“I’m ****ing broken. What the **** are they feeding these ****s? Whatever it is, I’m moving here for the entire preseason next year.”

I also spent a heap of time with a former Kumuls player, and got to be mates with him. He’s a massive unit with eyes that look like pure evil. Lovely bloke when he’s on your side though :)

😂

Should look at some of the png players, get a hitman forward or a big speedy back for depth

What a great report. Thanks man. The most rugby league mad country in the world.

The NRL needs to do more to develop players from PNG.

All these stories of Rugby League being their national sport have been getting told for 30+ years, yet how far have they progressed in that time.

There should be a couple of players at every NRL club.

Was talking about this with some guys over there. Seems like a lot of them get noticed and go to England, but very few get to the NRL.

A team who splits time between Cairns and PNG is one of the proposed options when expansion comes up again. Similar concept to the Dolphins. No specific location name, but they would play home games in a few different spots.

South Pacific or Pasifika have been touted as the possible names.

Aren't we affiliated with Fiji in some way? Would be great to have a few Fijians running around.

Souths are resigning both Arrow and Kalamatonga to 3 years deals worth $830k per year. How the fcuk are they under the cap when you add Mitchell, Graham, Cook, Murray, Wighton and Walker all over 800k we are at our cap and apart from Hynes dont have a 800k player?
