Have to say i reckon Tass is a bit of a door stop for AJ , backline moves to the left often seem to stall at Tass , he's only 23 games in so i'm sure there's improvement , but not for me .

His defence also let in 2 of Panthers tries. I’m not sure if he would be much of an upgrade on Talakai or Iro atm

I personally wouldn't sign Tass for the outside backs. We have stonestreet and Iro coming through anyway. I would focus on the forwards.

Tass is absolutely not an upgrade on Talakai.

Unless a freak becomes available then we should be exploring either Iro or Ronnie at centre (Stonestreet on the wing) first before going external imo. Plus we didn't extend Iro and Stonestreet just for depth imo, surely they are part of future plans ?

I think Tass will be a great player. But is currently a project and isn't at that level. Moving to him long term would be an upgrade on Talakai, but not in the immediate future. So I don't think it's a net gain over someone like Iro. Iro is just a year behind Tass really.

I can't see it happening, but I'd be all over it if it was an option.

Yeah this is the point, isn't it. We obviously have faith in our young guys, Talakai can stay centre for another 18 months and then Iro is hopefully ready.
