That call might be very premature. We wont know if the mantle is truly slipping until the season gets into full swing. Knowing Melbourne theres a good chance they’ll still find a way to be top 2 again.

Doesnt matter who leaves that club, they always find someone else to do the job just as well. I still laugh at the people who said they’d slide when they lost Smith, or Cronk, or Slater. Pffft, they just go ahead and use Pap, Hughes and Grant/B Smith.

If they are going to slide, it MIGHT be 2023 and it’ll probably only for a season. Even when Bellamy isnt the coach anymore, dont forget he’ll be moving into an overseer role, his influence will still be very strong.
