the possibility of Eagles/Sharks GF Qualifier

i just used the finals calculator... unless manly lose 2 games back to back in the semi's... manly and cronulla meet each other in the grand final qualifier... which scares the **** out of me! .....

Or Storm lose and Sharks win first round, or Manly and Sharks lose first round. Manly have looked like rubbish in the last few weeks though. Hardly the form to scare opponent's going in to the finals. Our forwards won't get beaten by the Manly pack next time we meet, and Orford still has the huge question mark hanging around hs neck when it comes to big matches.

lets face it guys...if we wanna be there come october, we're gonna have to face the best teams......whether its manly or melbourne......theres no escaping it, and i dont think it matters who we play. i think we can beat either of those sides tho

First things first, lets make sure we smash the raiders. Next i think there is a real chance of either warriors or stgeorge upsetting storm and/or manly respectively that would take us straight to the GF qualifier and a chance for ricky to have that extra week to prepare the boys for a showdown with the big guns !

my theory for avoiding melbourne lies in the fact that teams get so pumped up to play them and they are such physical battles that there always seems to be atleast a one week hangover, which could easily spell death in finals footbal.

check the stats, the teams that beat or came close to beating melbourne lost the following week.

the most obvious example is manly who have never really recovered at all.

dragons have a very good record v manly at brookie..so it would surprise me if dragons pull off a win..i would look to much into there form, i say they probably tried to save themselves abit..as long as orford is the eagles No.7, they wont win anything

We have beat both manly and melbourne at the start of the season,Manly have look weak in the last couple of rounds.
We need to focus on the raiders first and on paper we have a great record against them so we are just going to have to see what happends.
