Mustard mits that I was surprised that we beat the Cowboys and then kept Dragoons to nil!
Injuries to a minimum, we'll have a good year, and have no doubt that our attack will also improve considerably, as the combinations gel:good:

hahaha

What about Gary Freeman, he hate us more, he is the biggest fence sitter in the game,
he said the Parramatta game was the Boringest game he has ever watched and couldn't wait for full
time so he could turn it off

Freeman is a sheep-shagger with an IQ of 2. Why would anyone worry about what that dip-stick says? Sharks never shock me but they do surprise me sometimes!

I'm a bit surprised that we've actually got our **** well enough together that we can win the tight ones. Reminiscent of 08 though I think we have the potential to put on quite a few more points this year. If we weren't going to have the origin interruption I'd say we'd be firing pretty hard by round 11

Best thing is Gals has said a few times in the press that the position the sharks are in is no surprise to the playing group. If the players aren't shocked about our positions we should be stoked!

What would you expect him, or any other captain for that matter to say?

"Ohh well we weren't expecting much at the start of the year, we thought we'd be lucky if we won 3 of the first 7 to be honest."

I'm am not suprised at all, I knew this squad had a great deal of talent, even before TC, I just hope we can stay injury free.

That shows how dumb he is. If he didn't like it turn it off in the first place!!!

Sorry for coming onto this debate after most Sharks supporters have made comments but for what it's worth here's my 2 cents worth.
Whilst i support a rival team the manner in which Cronulla have built up to where they are now does not surprise me one little bit.
The so called experts want to see the Sharks fail but i see the sharks current run of success very vital to keeping an interest in the game & a big step in re-building the faith that has been lost due to some stupid decisions made by the NRL.
As i have stated many times before the game of Rugby League needs Cronulla more than Cronulla needs the game & forget about the bull**** talk that you haven't won a GF since you came into the comp because the bottom line is you have stood up when maintained a vital presence in the game & that is worth more than any trophy.
The Sutherland Shire is a Rugby League oasis & it was only a matter of time before a few good decisions started to amount to things going your way which leads me to answering the current question.
The experts maybe shocked but i think the Sharks have finally found combinations that have worked in favour of your NRL side & the results are there for all to see.
Stuff the experts because you have already proved them wrong just by surviving when they all wanted your club dead so keep up the wins & keep proving the experts wrong.
Oh by the way, take it easy on my Bunnies when we meet.

Well said mate. Good to see a Bunnies supporter talking about someone other than the Bunnies for once. haha.

I work with a Souths supporter and everytime we talk about any football at all he ends up bringing them into the conversation(even if we are talking about Sharks v Dragons).

And never forget how the team got to be in this position as it was through good management not luck.
The rest of the NRL should use this as proof that the game does exist without trying to buy every good player that becomes available.

I think the club has bought well without trying to fill the roster with superstars.
Does that make more sense ?

I agree,

I hate it when clubs by teams, in saying that I mean buying up all the first class players for ridiculous money, we build our own to a certain extent, which is what I love about the Sharks.

We have a great foundation this year and seem to be building on that foundation. So far so good.

It seems to be working & unlike some other clubs you never had to show the door to local juniors to accommodate a/any big name signing.
As they say, a champion team will always beat a team of champions.
