Agreed.Wilton was on a mission to miss as many as he could.
Penrith took advantage of this previous to Edwards line break. Wilton shot out, missed completely, didn't get back to the defensive line, forces Rudolf to defend at second row, and yeah Trindall missed Edwards.
Wilton has a good game here and there, but there's really nothing else. I just don't get the hype that a few on here have for him.
We looked pretty nice with Sifa, Iro and Mulitalo on that edge at timesAgreed.
Very replaceable, give his spot to Sifa
Signed but think it’s still dev dealIs Dylan Coutts gonna be in our top 30 next season?
When you rush up you make sure you actually make the tackle.
Problem is we don't have the abundance of back rowers.
Don't be ashamed of indulging in some self gratification.Thought you were saying they were the same and I had a ****ing stroke
Think we also said to do this earlier in the season as a way to get Sifa on the edgeFunny note on Teig, apparently Mason and Horo off the levels podcast reckon the best way to improve our forwards would be to add some ball skills to the middle by running him as a ball-playing lock, shift McInnes back to the bench and put Talakai out on his edge.
I’ve not seen the ball playing from him to warrant that. In fact I’d take Talakais.Funny note on Teig, apparently Mason and Horo off the levels podcast reckon the best way to improve our forwards would be to add some ball skills to the middle by running him as a ball-playing lock, shift McInnes back to the bench and put Talakai out on his edge.
Yeah i suggested it and got all sorts of stupid replies.Think we also said to do this earlier in the season as a way to get Sifa on the edge
100% agreeYeah i suggested it and got all sorts of stupid replies.
We have Nikora and Wilton who offer very much the same. Nikora is better though. Need a point of difference on Wilton’s edge as he’s just way to one dimensional. Would suit playing in the middle because his strengths are running and tackling. He has zero creativity which is fine. He’s a no thrills type player that suits that role in the middle more than an edge.
He’d do well in that role I reckon. Just needs to bulk up a bit. Could be a bit of a handful through the middle. Got decent footwork and the ability to win the play the ball quickly. Think it’s worth looking at. Talakai on that edge is what’s needed. Has the X factor our starting side really lacks.100% agree
Simple role player
I believe Talakai offers more on the edge than Wilton. I reckon Wilton will be a great lock if he bulked up.He’d do well in that role I reckon. Just needs to bulk up a bit. Not sure why that's a problem when they play on different sides? We have Nikora and Wilton who offer very much the same.
I'm surprised you guys are so off Wilton. While he hasn't shown much of a passing game he's a great line runner and defender. Talakai might carry blokes farther in the tackle but Teig is much more likely to breeze past them completely.
If we lost Teig I'd have no problem putting Talakai at 12 but I'd rather keep em both and try Talakai at 13, where his PCM and soft hands could really make an impact. McInnes to bench with both playing ~40 mins.
Turn Teig into an Alec Mcdonald, guy is a mobile workhorse.
Same size and similar build
I've been on that train for a while. Talakai would be immense at lock. And/or highly entertainingI’ve not seen the ball playing from him to warrant that. In fact I’d take Talakais.
Careful - we haven't had much luck with trains lately....I've been on that train for a while. Talakai would be immense at lock. And/or highly entertaining
