Probably not but if they could have got him (if he had truly wanted to sign there and not just cash in) and he signed for say, 900k, it makes potentially a huge difference.Let's say the Titans didn't put all that coin on Fifita and instead spread it around a few positions going for a more 'balanced' team. Would they really be going much better? Doubt it
Then someone else can be a 400k player instead of a 100k player and is a legit starter or very good bench player instead of a nobody.
Not only is Fifita under less scrutiny then due to less pay but he is also in a better team.
Of course there is the old and not unreasonable theory to take what you can get when you can get it because it's a short career.
