I seem to remember a pretty interesting conversation about Sharks Songs HERE

I've always thought that we should have two songs - one a call to arms song and the other a victory song.

Up Up Cronulla is OUR victory song and should never be changed and it should only ever be sung when we win.

Our call to arms song though should be something that pumps us up and gets us in the zone before and during a game.

But usually when they do that we inevitably stuff up and lose the ball or something.

As for "Up Up Cronulla' we should definitely keep it. I love that song and when we win I can't stop singing it, or when my vocal chords get sore, humming it. My kids haven't complained about it as yet as being outdated and can you imagine trying to teach the old supporters, like my Dad, any new team song?
Nup, it wouldn't work and wouldn't be the same.

I do hope that the game day music improves next year, however...

My Missus is a Manly fan (yeah i dont know why we're still together either.....) but she comes with me to 95% of the games I attend.

She says that you cant help but sing the song regardless of whether you support the Sharks or not. It just makes you feel so proud after a win to belt it out.....

If we're going to change the song, just go back to the Here Come the Sharks that we had in the early to mid 90's.

Loved that song and have it on a cd at home.
